"Bowling Green", a traditional bluegrass tune of unknown origin, was first released by Cousin Emmy in 1947. Prairie Wildfire chose to record and release this song purely because, "We have loved performing it." Due to its age and murky history, the tune is interpreted many different ways by many different musicians. In this iteration, its off-set harmony catches the ear and brings the listener in close, as do the punchy harmonies that burst into place at the end of each section.
"Heart You Couldn't Hold" is an original from Tessa Taylor and David Stewart. The lyrics of this song reminisce about the past while also showing the struggles of the present in the wake of an ended relationship and a broken heart.
The album is scheduled for release on March 10, 2023.
