Press Release

Get ready for another musical trip with Rebekah Speer and her latest release “The Old Gospel Ship”. Speer is joined by the incomparable bass singer Gene McDonald (The Plainsman Quartet, The Florida Boys, Gaither Homecoming) and the magnificent Winchester Civic Choir directed by Christopher Robin Smith of Tennessee. This arrangement was written in 1940 by G.T. “Dad” Speer, Adger M. Pace and Otis Tompkins and spreads the good news of all the heavenly joys there are to share and sing.

This is the third single from the highly anticipated Somebody Loves Me bluegrass gospel project of Speer’s favorite convention style songs. Once again she is joined by stellar instrumentalists: Derek Vaden - Banjo, Nick Dauphinais - Guitar & ukulele, David Mansfield III - Fiddle and Evan Winsor - Upright Bass.
